Xero Introduces New Add-on for Law Firms

Law firms can now take advantage of Xero’s new add-on tool called Clio. Clio is designed for small to medium-sized law firms that need a software not just for legal practice management but also for billing and invoicing.

With Clio, accounting and legal documentation are now made easy. Its many features include a dashboard where users can manage their tasks, schedule appointments through a user-friendly calendar, and create client and productivity reports. Billing is also made easier as the add-on allows users to create customized invoices from a list of templates that are readily available. Users can also receive online payments from clients through credit card or PayPal using an online payment gateway called Clio Connect. Applying taxes to invoices won’t be a problem as the integration of Xero in Clio makes that possible. Any changes on the invoices made in Clio are automatically synced and updated in Xero for seamless accounting.

The add-on is also designed for simple collaboration so users can assign, share and monitor tasks with other online collaborators. As a cloud-based add-on, Clio is accessible via desktops, smartphones and tablets so it’s the perfect practice management tool for people on the go. While Clio is based in Canada, the add-on can also be used in more than 50 countries.
